End of Week #1

Well, we left the casa (house) at about 11 am this morning with high hopes of getting major things on the TO DO list done....well......

So, we did get a cell phone (finally) but had to have a Dominican friend do it for us as we don't have the right kind of identification (go figure). But he was so helpful how could we say no.....well, we couldn't say no...LOL

So, the car hunt continues...we think we have found our vehicle of choice. Ross will have a mechanic look at it tomorrow to ensure it is in good working order (that is good working order for the DR). If it doesn't have white or black smoke coming out of the exhaust...good working order...LOL

We continued our search for lazy boy type recliners...I think that search will be going on for some time. Gives us something to do..

So I bought an orange tree and a lime tree today. Will have to think about planting them sometime early next week...(starting to think like a Dominican already) Haven't decided on the location for the trees just yet but will think about the location this weekend.

Checked out the local "corner store"...still under construction but it is close by and will make it easier to get water by quad.

Picked up a couple of good quality beach lounge chairs today. Waiting on delivery of them now. Sun has to come out and we will get good use of them!

So we got back to the casa about 4:00 and really didn't get anything done that we wanted to do. Cell phone mission is completed and that was basically it.....
